These things have lived a rough life.
I’m the youngest of three boys so I didn’t cause all this damage myself.
Probably...
That’s some vintage dirt on those tires.
Going to clean them up and give them to my nephew.

These are fantastic! I love playworn diecasts. The mileage they have, and the stories they could tell, are priceless.
Shared to LaLD.

I have a yellow Lamborghini Diablo with red windows that I got from Captain D’s back in ‘97 or ‘98.

Great post and great finds! Using this as an excuse to share a couple posts I did about the same thing.

That may be selection bias. Some of my old ones were a mess. My CSL was half un-riveted!

I have a yellow Playart Mercury wagon just like that. I also have the Yatming versi0 n. Not only did Playart and Yatming copy Matchbox ’s C ommuter wagon, they also shared castings as well.

This station wagon looks like it’s on some acid
What light did you use to light them?

I’d k eep your two favorites, just for some nostalgia.
You know how values for completely original, un-restored cars have shot up in recent years (worth even more than concours ready, frame-off restorations)? I wonder if Hot Wheels will have a similar phenomenon. I love seen these well-loved and -used/-abused old toys.
I played with a headless Han Solo (original) throughout my childhood. I’m not certain, but it may still be in one of our kids’ toy buckets...
